Sunday
Rather windy in the north and west this morning with a band of heavy snow across eastern Scotland and northern England. Outbreaks of snow and sleet too across eastern, southern and central parts of England with rain expected across Wales and the south west. Some heavy accumulations are possible in the north, especially over the hills. Lots of cloud and showers of rain, sleet and snow for much of Britain. Remaining quite windy across northern areas. Highs of 2 to 5C but up to 7C across south west England.

Sunday Night
There is a risk of heavy snow for East Anglia and Lincolnshire this evening. Snow showers are also likely across the north of Scotland and Northern Ireland. Dry and clear for the rest of the United Kingdom. Overnight eastern areas of England are at risk of further heavy snow showers. Snow showers too for Wales and northern Scotland. Clear elsewhere with a widespread, hard frost. Lows down to 0 to -5C but 4 to 5C across Cornwall.

Monday
Not as cold today. Outbreaks of sleety rain are likely across central and eastern parts of England and Scotland with showers across Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Dry, very cold and sunny elsewhere with sunny spells. Lots of showers will develop in most areas in the afternoon and some will be locally heavy interspersed with some sunshine. Mostly clear and bitterly cold across Britain overnight with another hard frost. Highs of 5 to 8C but lows falling to -2 to -6C.

Tuesday
A few heavy showers this morning for Wales with lighter showers across East Anglia and south east England. Dry for the rest of the country with some sunshine after a very cold start. It stays dry and sunny across Northern Ireland but elsewhere expect showers with a few on the heavy side. Snow is forecast for the north of Scotland tonight while the remainder of the United Kingdom is clear with another widespread frost. Highs of 7 to 11C.
