Tuesday
A cold, frosty and sunny morning across much of the United Kingdom with a few showers developing across Wales. Rain is likely for northern Scotland with snow over the hills. In the afternoon a number of showers are likely across England and Wales but mainly dry and sunny across East Anglia and south east England. Showers too for Northern Ireland and Scotland though more persistent rain for eastern Scotland. Expect highs of 6 to 8C in the north and 8 to 10C in the south.

Tuesday Night
Most of the showers will fade away early this evening but a few snow showers will persist across northern Scotland. With light winds and clear skies overnight, it will be very cold with a widespread, hard frost along with a few dense patches of freezing fog. Later a band of rain will spread into parts of Northern Ireland. Lows down to -1 to -5C.

Wednesday
Scattered showers are expected across Wales and south west England this morning with light rain across western Ireland. Showers again will break out more widely across England and Wales in the afternoon with a few heavy ones across Northern Ireland. Mainly dry across Scotland except for a few snow showers in the north. Some light rain will move into Wales and western parts of Scotland and north west England. To the east it will be cold and frosty. Highs of 7 to 11C.

Thursday
Increasingly cloudy across Britain this morning with sporadic outbreaks of light rain. Brighter in the far south of England with a few showers. Brighter for most areas into the afternoon with occasional showers though more persistent rain will be found across Wales. An area of rain across northern England, Wales and south west England will clear into eastern Scotland tonight. With clear skies overnight, a frost will develop a across England and Wales. Highs of 7 to 12C.
