Into the afternoon it stays dry and bright over Scotland, with the best of the sunshine to the west. For most of the rest of Scotland, England and Wales it becomes brighter with the cloud breaking and some sunny spells coming through. Thicker cloud moving east across Ireland bringing rain, some of them heavy at times. Highs at a warm 19C in southern England, 14C in western Scotland.
