Saturday
A fair cloudy start to the day over much of the UK and Ireland. There will be some rain affecting western Scotland and Ireland, with drizzle on the northwest and southwest coasts of England, as well as western Wales. Quite a breezy morning too over Scotland and Ireland. Elsewhere, there could be some mist at first but this will be clearing. The cloud may then break inland with some good spells of sunshine developing across the Midlands and much of eastern and southern England. The more persistent rain pushes southeast through Scotland in the afternoon, reaching northern England, west Wales and southwest England by the evening. A very warm day over eastern England with highs of 21C, nearer a fresher 14C in western Ireland.
Saturday Night
A wet night to come across much of northern England, Wales, southwest England and eventually the Midlands. There could be some heavy bursts of rain around here with mist and fog shrouding the hills. An odd crack of thunder is possible too. For East Anglia and southeast England it should stay dry and very mild as well as cloudy. Fresher, drier weather arrives in western Scotland and Ireland leaving some clear skies here. Lows around 12C in southeast England but the risk of a frost in central Ireland with lows of 0C here.
Sunday
Some heavy periods of rain to come across much of England and eastern Wales on Sunday morning, again with the risk of a crack of thunder. This rain reaches East Anglia and the southeast of England, becoming heavier as the morning progresses. By late morning drier weather should arrive in the Midlands and northwest England, this reach eastern coasts by mid-afternoon. A few showers then follow from the west, although there will be sunshine too. A day of sunshine and showers across Ireland, some of them becoming heavy. The showers more scattered in Scotland with the best of the weather likely here. Highs at 15C in southeast England, nearer a fresh 12C in western Scotland.
Monday
Sunshine and showers are the order of the day on Monday. It is likely to be a fair start over eastern parts of England and Scotland. However, a band of more persistent showers will be passing eastwards through all areas during the afternoon. Following will be sunny spells, although showers will be affecting some areas too. Heavier, more persistent rain returning to the west of Ireland later, with the winds increasing here too. Highs at 11 to 15C.
