Sunday
A cloudy and damp start to the day over much of the country this morning. There will be periods of rain over England and Wales as well as southern Scotland, with most of the rain affecting northern England. Drier weather should move into southern England and south Wales later this morning. This afternoon sees more rain over northeast England and southern Scotland, but some showers developing through most of England and eastern Wales. Sunshine and more scattered showers to come over western Scotland and Northern Ireland, with heavier showers in southern Ireland. Turning cooler from the west with highs at 14C in Wales, nearer 19C in southeast England.
Sunday Night
Showers fading away from eastern areas this evening. Many places then become drier with some clear spells developing. However, more persistent showers will be passing through southern Ireland, and these will be moving into southern Wales and southwest England around midnight bringing the risk of some thunderstorms with them. Drier weather for western Scotland and Northern Ireland with temperatures around 3 to 7C.
Monday
Some bright weather to start the day over eastern Scotland and much of England; there will be sunny spells here and it will be feeling quite cool too. Heavy showers will be affect Wales and south west England through the morning, these gradually pushing eastwards and perhaps merging to longer spells of rain. Further showers affecting much of Ireland and western Scotland. The afternoon is showery everywhere. Those showers heavy at times with a risk of thunder, although these may turn more scattered over Wales later. Highs around 10 to 14C.
Tuesday
Heavy periods of rain through southern Ireland, Wales and the southern half of England on Tuesday. heavy showers follow to southern Wales and southwest England later. Across northern England it will be a drier start to the day with sunny spells, the best of these in the west, but rain reaches here in the afternoon. Further periods of rain or showers over the far north of Scotland, but drier elsewhere. A much cooler day, highs at 9 to 12C.
