Monday
Fair and mostly sunny across East Anglia and Kent this morning. For Northern Ireland, Wales and much of Scotland and the rest of England expect some heavy showers which may merge into longer spells of rain across North Wales and northern England. Perhaps it stays dry in the far south east of England this afternoon. Much more unsettled across the rest of Britain with frequent and heavy showers with a risk thunder and hail. Heavier, steady rain will fall across northern Scotland. Highs at 10 to 15C north to south.

Monday Night
Outbreaks of light rain will affect Scotland and Northern Ireland this evening with a few showers around western coasts of England and Wales. Elsewhere it's mainly dry with occasional clear spells. During the night some rain is expected to spill in across south west England while the rest of Britain looks essentially dry with clear spells and patchy mist and pockets of frost by morning. Lows down to 1 to 5C for most places.

Tuesday
This morning outbreaks of heavy rain across the West Country are expected to spread north into Wales and the southern half of England. This moves a bit further north into Merseyside and the Manchester area during the afternoon. To the north of this persistent rain it's a day of sunshine and showers with a few heavy in the afternoon. During the evening and night the rain slowly pushes north into northern England and southern Scotland. Highs of 10 to 15C.

Wednesday
A belt of moderate to heavy rain is expected across Scotland and Northern Ireland this morning and this tracks back south to affect western parts of England. Very unsettled across the rest of England and Wales with frequent and heavy showers with a chance of thunder and hail. Most places will see some rain or further showers during the night. Highs of 9 to 13C.
