Tuesday
Outbreaks of rain are expected across south west England and South Wales this morning. Elsewhere after a dry, bright start, a number of showers are going to develop. In the afternoon it becomes windier across England and Wales with a belt of heavier rain across southern Wales and southern England. For the rest of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland expect some heavy showers and sunnier spells. Highs at 11 to 13C but just 9C in the wet south.
Tuesday Night
A windy evening and night then to come as low pressure moves up from the south. An area of heavy rain now across Wales, The Midlands and East Anglia this evening is expected to move into northern England and Scotland tonight with showers to the south. Lows down to 5 to 7C for most places.
Wednesday
Cold, windy and wet for much of the United Kingdom with showers and longer spells of rain. In the afternoon the persistent rain is expected across northern Scotland while showers will affect the remainder of Britain. Many of these will be heavy with a chance of thunder or hail too. Still some rain tonight for northern Scotland with a few showers in the west and across Wales, otherwise a dry night to come. Highs of just 7 to 11C and feeling colder in the wind.
Thursday
After a dry, sunny start to the morning, showers already in the west will develop across central and eastern parts of England and Scotland. The afternoon sees these showers becoming very heavy and widespread with a risk of thunder as well. The showers will fade from central and eastern areas this evening with a few lingering across Wales, The West Country and western coasts of Scotland. Highs of 10 to 13C.
