Thursday
Low pressure dominates the weather across the British Isles and Ireland today. The most persistent periods of rain are across southern parts of Scotland this morning, this rain edging northwards during the course of the day. The far north of Scotland has a few sunny spells but also some scattered showers. Further south England, Wales and Ireland will have sunny spells but also showers developing. The showers will become heavy in the afternoon, especially across eastern Scotland, central and eastern parts of England. A risk of some hail and thunderstorms too. Temperatures rising to around 15C over England, nearer 12C in northern Scotland.
Thursday Night
The showers will be fading away this evening. Clearer skies will then develop through most of the country tonight, and the winds should fall light too. A few showers here and there especially along the western coasts of Ireland, southwest England and northwest England. Lows near 3C under the clearer skies inland, 7C on the coasts.
Friday
Showers get going again early on Friday morning, most of these affecting Wales and western parts of England and Ireland. There will be some sunny spells too and it is going to be feeling warm or very warm in the east. The afternoon sees the showers becoming heavy at times. The showers should be fairly well scattered with some sunny spells in between, the best of them across eastern Scotland and northeast England. Highs will be around 17 or 18C in southeast England, nearer 12C in western Scotland.
Saturday
More cloud around on Saturday and a very warm feel to the day. Most of East Anglia and southeast England are likely to have a dry day with some hazy spells of sunshine. Further west and north there will be a tendency for cloudier conditions. There could be some spots of drizzle affecting western coasts of Wales and England with more outbreaks of rain for Ireland and western Scotland. A warm day in the southeast at 22C, cooler in Ireland at 15C.
