Unsettled throughout Showers and rain seiten=4 abk=focus
Sunday
Low pressure continues to dominate the weather across the British Isles and Ireland today. It will be bringing an unsettled morning with showers and longer periods of rain to much of England and eastern Wales as well as strong winds in places. For norther Scotland it should be drier, although there is the threat of a showers here. Drier, brighter weather over Ireland too, although showers could break out. Into this afternoon and there will be a mix of sunshine and showers for most places. The showers will be heaviest over the Midlands, northern England and central southern England, with the threat of some more persistent rain brushing the Kent coast and another area of more persistent rain over central Ireland. Drier and brighter for the far north and northwest of Scotland, with sunny spells here. High temperatures at 21C in any sunshine in southern England, 16C for northern Scotland.
Sunday Night
A windy night for the extreme south and north of the country. Showers fade for a time, but then more persistent rain returns to much of northern England, Ireland and Wales, where some of it could be heavy at times. By the morning some more heavy showers could be affecting the far southeast of England and we could find some patchy rain over northern Scotland too. Lows near 8 to 10C.
Monday
Another disturbed day to come on Monday. Low pressure is going to be passing eastwards over northern England and this will be bringing showers and longer spells of rain to many of us. It is very hard to pick out any detail in the forecast, but suffice to say that rain or showers will be affecting most of England, Wales and Scotland. The heaviest of the showers are likely to be over the Midlands and northern England. A windy day in the far south and far north with temperatures at 14 to 18C.
Tuesday
Low pressure stays with us through Tuesday. It is expected to be drifting off into the North Sea through the day. Still breezy around the periphery of the low. A day of sunshine and heavy showers to come through much of England and eastern Wales, with the risk of the showers merging into a more persistent period of rain for a time in these areas. The best of the weather across central and northern Scotland where it will stay dry with plenty of sunshine. The showers more scattered over southern England with sunny spells here. Highs at 15 to 21C.
