Sunshine and showers Heavy rain Wednesday seiten=4 abk=focus

Tuesday
Some sunshine about at first this morning but cloud and showers again soon develop. Most of the showers will be fairly light but a few heavy ones will affect Northern Ireland with Kent and Sussex staying dry. In the afternoon lots of showers to come for most places. Across England and Wales these will be light and less frequent than of late while some heavy ones will affect Scotland and Northern Ireland. Rather breezy today especially in the west with highs of 15 to 19C.

Tuesday Night
Just a few showers to come across Scotland this evening with the rest of Britain dry with some late sunshine. Later the cloud thickens to bring rain in across south west England. Overnight outbreaks of persistent and heavier rain across the West Country will move into Wales and central and southern parts of England. To the north it looks dry. Expect lows of 9 to 13C.

Wednesday
Quite a wet morning with steady outbreaks of locally heavy rain across Wales and central and southern England. For Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland it will be dry with the best of the sunshine across Scotland. In the afternoon the rain lingers in the south and spreads into Northern Ireland as well. Again this looks heavy across England. This evening the rain clears much of England and Wales and spreads into Scotland tonight with a few showers in the south. Highs of 14 to 18C.

Thursday
Outbreaks of rain are going to linger across northern parts of Scotland all day. Elsewhere showers are expected from the word go and some of these will be heavy, especially across Wales and western England. There should be some good sunny spells in between the showers as well. Tonight more rain for northern Scotland but the showers will become confined to Wales and the western coasts of England. Highs of 12 to 14C for Scotland, 18 to 22C for England and Wales.
