Wednesday
Quite a wet morning with steady outbreaks of locally heavy rain across Wales and central and southern England. For northern England, Northern Ireland an southern Scotland it will be dry while showers will affect northern Scotland. In the afternoon the heavy rain will persist across Wales and central and southern England with light rain edging into northern parts of England. Over 30mm of rain are expected across southern Wales with much higher totals over the hills. It clouds over actress Northern Ireland and much of Scotland with a few showers in the north. Looking for highs of 15 to 18C.

Wednesday Night
Further spells of heavy rain will affect much of Wales and England with light rain into Northern Ireland and southern Scotland this evening. Overnight the main rain band will lie across Northern Ireland, southern Scotland and northern England. Drier to the north and south with a few showers and a good deal of cloud. A warn night with lows of 10 to 16C.

Thursday
Outbreaks of rain are likely across Northern Ireland, much of Scotland and the far north of Scotland and will be heavy at times. Here the rain is expected to linger well into the afternoon. To the south expect a bright day with sunny spells, cloud and there is a risk of scattered showers but dry in the south east of England. Some patchy rain will persist across Scotland and Northern Ireland this evening and tonight with a risk of showers for England and Wales. Highs of 13 to 15C for Northern Ireland and Scotland, 18 to 21C for England and Wales.

Friday
A very unsettled and showery day in store for much of the United Kingdom. The showers will be heavy with a risk of thunderstorms and will be interspersed with occasional sunnier periods. The far south east of England could escape with a dry day with the best of the sunshine. Still a few showers to come across northern England and Scotland tonight otherwise it's a dry night across Britain. Highs of 15 to 21C.
