Thursday
A dry start to the morning for most of England and Wales. It will be fairly breezy, but there will also be some good spells of sunshine. As the morning progresses some showers will be breaking out over the Welsh Mountains and through southwest England, and odd one of these becoming heavy at times. Staying dry in the east with more sunny spells. For the far north of England, central and southern Scotland as well as Northern Ireland it will be cloudy with periods of rain. Some heavy rain to come across Scotland and Northern Ireland with cloud shrouding the hills. Drier for the far north of Scotland with broken cloud. The afternoon sees some scattered showers across Wales, the Midlands and northern England, as well as parts of the southwest. Elsewhere it should be dry with some good spells of sunshine. More rain to come through central and southern Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Highs at 15C in northern Scotland, where it will feel cold in the wind, nearer 22C in the sunshine across southeast England.

Thursday Night
Further periods of rain affecting the central and southern parts of Scotland this evening and these lasting for much of the night too. A few showers around northern coasts of Scotland. For northern and western England and Wales showers should be fading away and it should become dry over most of England, Wales and Ireland after midnight. It will be staying breezy to the south. Lows around 7 to 11C.

Friday
An occluded front sees rain pushing southwards into southern Scotland this morning, continuing the very wet spell of weather here. Broken cloud and some showers to the north and east of Scotland, but brightening up to the west. For northern England cloud will increase too , perhaps with some rain arriving in the far north by the middle of the afternoon. To the south the rest of England and most of will have a mix of sunny spells and showers. The showers will be heavier and more widespread than on Thursday. Western Wales and western parts of Cornwall may escape the worst of them. Highs at 22C over central England, 14C in northern Scotland and feeling cold again here.

Saturday
Further showers for many northern and eastern areas on Saturday. Most of the showers should be light, but there is the threat of an odd heavier one breaking out over Scotland and northern England. Elsewhere the day should be generally dry with some sunny spells. However, there is the threat of a shower over Wales and parts of the Midlands for a time, before these fade out towards evening. The best of the sunshine over Wales, western England and Ireland. Highs at a cool 15 to 19C.
