Friday
A band of rain extending from eastern Scotland, through northern England and Wales. The rain could be heavy at times, especially over northern England and the high ground of Wales. For the rest of England some heavy showers will be developing during the morning, with a fair amount of cloud and only a few bright spells. The afternoon sees rain slipping south into into Lincolnshire and Derbyshire, with some patchy rain through southwest England too. Over rthe rest of central and southern England further heavy showers are likely. rain should clear Wales in the morning, then a few showers in the afternoon. Some showers for the west of Scotland and a few in Northern Ireland too, with little change into the afternoon. High temperatures at 14C in the sunshine over eastern Scotland, 20C over southern England.

Friday Night
Patchy rain clears eastern England this evening with the showers fading away too. There will then be broken cloud and some clear spells over most of England and Wales. A few showers moving into the north of Wales and northwest England. Over northern and eastern Scotlasnd there will be more periods of rain, and some of these are going to become heavy at times. It will be windy to the west and south. Temperatures down to 6 to 8C.

Saturday
A breezy day to come over Scotland and northern England, the risk of gales for eastern Scotland where it will feel very cold. Cloud and some periods of rain for central and eastern Scotland, with showers or rain slipping southwards through parts of northern England too. For southern England and Wales the day will be cool and there may be a few showers. The best of the sunshine is likely to be across the western parts of Scotland. Temperatures will rise to 19C in southern England, but no higher than a very cold 12C over parts of eastern Scotland.

Sunday
A welcome, but brief ridge of hgih pressure builds through the country on Sunday. There could still be some showers affecting more eastern coasts of Scotland and England, but these should fade away. Most of the country is likely to fade metling away and then most places should become dry with some good periods of sunshine. The best of the sunshine for Wales and southern England. Later in the day cloud will be increasing once again over western Ireland, bringing some periods of rain here. Temperatur5es rising to between 21C in the sunshine over southern England, 14C in central Scotland.
