Very warm, heavy showers Little change into weekend seiten=4 abk=focus

Friday
Cloudy across Northern Ireland this morning with some light rain and apart from a few shower for North Wales, it's a largely fine and dry morning for the rest of the United Kingdom with sunnier spells. With the high temperatures in the afternoon we are expecting quite a few heavy and perhaps thundery showers to develop across much of the United Kingdom though few if any showers are expected in the far south of England and East Anglia. We're expecting top temperatures of 21 to 28C north to south.

Friday Night
There remains the risk of showers across North Wales, north west England, Northern Ireland and western Scotland for much of the evening but these mostly fade by tonight. For central, eastern and southern parts of England expect a fine evening with lots of late sunshine to come. Overnight it stays dry with clear spells and some patchy low cloud and mist. A warm and muggy night with minimums of 13 to 18C.

Saturday
Another warm one across the country. A few showers will affect Scotland and parts of south west England in the morning and in the afternoon these will affect Scotland, northern England, The Midlands and Wales with some heavy with a risk of thunder. The remainder of the United Kingdom stays fine and dry with good sunny spells. Showers die out this evening with all areas dry overnight. High of 19 to 26C.

Sunday
Outbreaks of rain across northern Scotland will be replaced by heavy afternoon showers. After a mainly dry start, showers will again break out quite widely across much of the United Kingdom, some heavy with thunder, but interspersed with sunny spells too. Again not too many showers for the far south of England. As the showers die out his evening rain moves into the West Country. Another hot day with highs of 20 to 27C.
