A hot weekend Expect sunshine and showers seiten=4 abk=focus
Saturday
North east England and eastern Scotland will start dull and misty with a good deal of low cloud this morning. Scattered showers then develop across eastern parts of Scotland and England with the west dry with the best of the sunshine. Very warm this afternoon with sunshine and showers. These look heavier in the north but few likely across Wales and southern England. We're expecting top temperatures of 21 to 28C north to south with sea breezes developing in the afternoon around the coasts so a bit fresher here.
Saturday Night
There remains the risk of showers across Scotland and northern England for much of the evening but these mostly fade by tonight. For Wales, central, eastern and southern parts of England expect a fine evening with lots of late sunshine to come. Overnight it stays dry with clear spells and some patchy low cloud and mist. A warm and muggy night with minimums of 10 to 17C.
Sunday
Outbreaks of rain across northern Scotland will be replaced by heavy afternoon showers. After a mainly dry start, showers will again break out quite widely across much of the United Kingdom, some heavy with thunder, but interspersed with sunny spells too. Again not too many showers for the far south of England. As the showers die out his evening rain moves into the west of Cornwall by morning. Another hot day with highs of 20 to 30C.
Monday
Early mist and low cloud clears to sunny spells for much of Britain this morning but once again showers will develop across the north. In the afternoon the showers develop more widely and become heavier with a risk of thunder but staying dry across East Anglia and the south east of England. Not many showers in the south west either. Tonight there is the threat of some heavy, thundery rain moving up from southern England into the Midlands and East Anglia. Continued hot with highs of 21 to 30C.
