Monday
Early mist and low cloud clears to sunny spells for much of Britain this morning but showers will develop across western parts of England and Wales. In the afternoon the showers develop more widely and become heavier with a risk of thunder but staying dry across East Anglia and the south east of England and perhaps east of the Pennines. We're expecting top temperatures of 23 to 29C north to south with sea breezes developing in the afternoon around the coasts so a bit fresher here.
Monday Night
This evening thundery rain is expected across the West Country and this pushes into Wales overnight. For the rest of England expect quite a few heavy showers are expected with a risk of thunder overnight. Staying dry overnight across Scotland. A warm night with minimums of 13 to 18C.
Tuesday
A dry morning with the best of the sunshine across northern Scotland. Dry as well but rather cloudy across Northern Ireland. Lots of heavy showers and scattered thunderstorms this morning for England and Wales with a good deal of low cloud and mist. During the afternoon it turns sunnier and dry in the south east of England and it stays fine across northern Scotland. More heavy showers and thunderstorms elsewhere with more persistent rain likely to move back in across south west England this afternoon. More rain to come across all but Scotland, East Anglia and south east England tonight. Highs of 20 to 25C.
Wednesday
A cloudy morning across much of the United Kingdom with outbreaks of rain, this heaviest in the south west and across Wales. In the afternoon the rain turns showery across southern Wales and southern England as it brightens up. Still some rain to come in many areas during the course of the evening and night but it will be very light and patchy in the south of England and heavier across northern Scotland. Highs of 18 to 24C.
