Mainly dry & cool Heavy rain Saturday seiten=4 abk=focus

Saturday
A wet and windy morning to come over most of the country. There will be some heavy periods of rain just about anywhere, but the focus for most of the rain will tend to be through more northern and western areas. The far southeast may stay dry until lunchtime, with a few bright spells during the morning. Into this afternoon the heaviest of the rain is through Scotland, northern England, the Midlands and southwestern England with the winds gusting to gale force. We should find drier weather moving east through Ireland, and this reaching northwest England, western Scotland and the west of Wales later, perhaps even allowing a few bright spells to come through here. Temperatures rising to around 15 to 18C.

Saturday Night
Rain will be clearing from most places overnight, although it may well last throughout the night in southeast England. Elsewhere for many it is going to be a mainly dry night with some clear spells coming through and the winds easing for many. Showers will be affecting the west of Ireland and western Scotland, a few of these heavy and it is here where it is likely to stay fairly windy. Temperatures down to 11C under the clearer skies in the north and west, but no lower than 15C in southeastern England.

Sunday
There is a risk of the rain not clearing the extreme southeast through Sunday, and there is the risk of some heavy bursts coming through. For much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland the morning should be dry with sunny spells and, apart from a passing shower, it should stay dry for the afternoon. Western Wales, Ireland and western Scotland are likely to have more persistent showers, some of them heavy with more continuous rain for southern parts of Ireland. Temperatures at 22C in any sunshine through southern England, nearer 15C in southern Scotland.

Monday
A mix of bright or sunny spells and showers over much of the country today. The heaviest of the showers are likely to be through more central and southern parts of England in the morning, although the showers could occur at any time. More western parts should be drier with sunny spells. Thicker cloud and some rain affecting the north and west of Scotland. Drier with Ireland with some bright periods here and temperatures to between 17 and 21C.
