Sunday
A windy day for many parts of the country today, with the strongest of the winds over exposed parts of Wales and western England. There will be some early morning rain over the far southeast, but this is going to be clearing to leave some bright or sunny spells over much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland through the morning. Further west showers are going to be blowing in off the sea. These will be pushing inland and may become heavy at times, although they will be remaining scattered. There is the risk of the showers merging to more persistent periods of rain over Scotland. Temperatures at 21C over southeast England, nearer 16C on western coasts of Scotland.
Sunday Night
Staying breezy through the night with further showers affecting the west of the country. Thicker cloud and some outbreaks of rain will be spreading through Ireland and into the west of Scotland. Heavy showers could merge to longer periods of rain over northwest England too, but for many areas it should be dry with more broken cloud although just about anywhere is at risk of a shower. Temperatures down to 11 to 14C.
Monday
Low pressure is going to be staying close to the country on Monday. This will be blowing some showers through Ireland, Wales, western England and western Scotland, an odd one of them heavy in more exposed areas. For more central and eastern areas it will be a drier day overall with some bright or sunny spells coming through the cloud. Many eastern areas could staying dry throughout the day. Temperatures at 17 to 21C.
Tuesday
The low pressure area deepens as it moves into Ireland. It will be pushing bands of rain northeastwards through the UK and Ireland and this rain could be turning heavy at times. If you don't get the rain then you will get the showers and some of these are going to be heavy at times. The strongest of the winds over southern parts of Ireland and southwest England with temperatures at 17 to 21C.
