Breezy, scattered showers Rain overnight seiten=4 abk=focus

Monday
A mainly dry, but breezy start to the day over most of the country. There will be some showers breaking out, most of these through Wales, western England and western Scotland with some heavier showers and more persistent spells of rain moving into Ireland. Into the afternoon there is a tendency for the scattered showers to continue and a fair amount of cloud is likely too. There will be a tendency for some sunny spells to come through here and there, mainly through the Midlands and eastern England. Cloudier skies and more persistent rain will be affecting Ireland, this reaching western areas of the UK by the evening. Temperatures rising to 21C in the sunshine over central England, nearer 16 or 17C in the rain across Ireland.

Monday Night
More persistent rain moves into Wales and western parts of the UK during the first part of the night. This then edges slowly north and east and it may be that the rain turns heavy at times too, especially over Wales, southern England, Northern Ireland and southwest Scotland. The far north of Scotland should stay drier, and drier conditions should move back into Ireland later. Temperatures down to around 11 to 13C.

Tuesday
On Tuesday morning the rain is still across much of Scotland and eastern England and again there could be a few heavier bursts here and there. We should find that sunny spells and showers follow through Ireland, Wales and much of England during the morning and afternoon. Many of the showers are likely to be on the heavy side, especially over the hills and moors of Wales and southwest England. A risk of an odd thunderstorm in there too. Highs around 17 to 19C.

Wednesday
A very unsettled day on Wednesday as low pressure crosses Scotland. This will be bringing showers or longer spells of rain to virtually all parts of the country. The heaviest of the rain and showers are always likely to be through more northern parts of the country, with the best of any sunshine over the far southeast. However, all areas are going to be windy and unsettled, although we may find some drier weather nudging into western Ireland later. Temperatures at 16 to 18C at best.
