Thursday
Not as windy across Britain today. In the morning a band of moderate rain is expected to lie across northern parts of England and Northern Ireland. Scattered showers are likely for Wales and the far south of England. For Scotland it's a dry morning with sunny spells. In the afternoon much of Scotland will stay dry with the best of the sunshine while more rain to come for the north of England and showers across Wales and central and southern England, a few on the heavy side. We're expecting top temperatures of 16 to 20C north to south.

Thursday Night
Still a few light showers at first this evening across Northern Ireland along with central parts of England otherwise fair and dry for most of Britain with some early evening sunshine to end the day. Overnight some light rain spills in across Northern Ireland. Elsewhere it's a dry, chilly and mostly clear night with some fog patches likely to develop. Lows falling to 5 to 10C.

Friday
Apart from, a few showers that develop across the north of England, much of England and Wales looks dry this morning with early fog patches clearing to sunny spells. Cloudier across Northern Ireland and Scotland with some rain. A good deal of dry, bright weather to come for much of England and Wales with just the odd shower here and there. Heavier showers are forecast for Northern Ireland with persistent rain to fall across northern Scotland. Outbreaks of rain will spill in across Wales and south west England tonight with showers for western parts of England and Scotland. Highs of 16 to 23C.

Saturday
The far eastern parts of England may escape with a dry day but not much sun to come. Elsewhere it's quite cloudy and damp as spells of persistent rain and showers affect much of the United Kingdom. The rain looks heaviest across western Wales with heavy showers for western Scotland. For much of Britain rain is expected into the evening and night, the rain light in the east and heavier in the west. Highs of 16 to 21C.
