Wet and windy Gales in the south west seiten=4 abk=focus
Monday
It becomes very windy across Wales and the south west of England this morning with gales and gusts of 50-60 mph developing around exposed coasts. It is looking quite wet for most areas too as rain spreads west to east into most places though staying dry in the far north of Scotland. Heavy bursts of rain will affect Wales and north west England. Continued very windy in the south west as gales persist. Most places too stay rather wet with the heaviest rain across Scotland. It does brighten up across Wales and the West country but here expect a few showers later. We're expecting top temperatures of 14 to 21C north to south.
Monday Night
Still windy but not as windy as through the day and more rain is forecast for all but the south west of England during this evening. The rain in the south should become more light and patchy. A windy night to come with a dry night for East Anglia and the south east with a few showers in the south west. Elsewhere more rain to come with heavy bursts for Wales, northern England and Scotland. A very warm night with lows around 11 to 16C.
Tuesday
Still windy along the southern coast of England with gales in the channel. More rain is expected for most of Britain this morning but the afternoon it brightens up with a number of showers though the rain lingers across southern England. Much drier in the south and east of England this evening and tonight but still a few showers to come elsewhere. Highs of 16 to 19C.
Wednesday
Dry across eastern parts of England and Scotland with the best of the sunshine. Mostly cloudy for the rest of Britain with showers or rain. There will be quite a few showers around for the afternoon but also some dry, sunnier periods. Much of eastern England should escape the showers this afternoon but some will be heavy across Wales. Most of the showers will become confined to western coasts tonight. Highs of 14 to 19C.
