Wednesday
Breezy this morning and lots of Showers for England, Wales, Northern Ireland and southern Scotland along with some sunnier periods. In the afternoon here we can expect plenty in the way of showers and still a few brief sunnier spells. Some of the showers will again be heavy. Outbreaks of more persistent rain will affect the north of Scotland this morning and this afternoon. We're expecting top temperatures of 18 to 21C but just 14C for the wet north of Scotland.
Wednesday Night
This evening the winds will moderate but still a scattering of mainly light showers across England and Wales and rain is expected to continue across the north of Scotland. Here it lingers into the night as well. But tonight most of the showers will tend to become confined to western and southern coasts of England and Wales. Lows of 12 to 16C.
Thursday
Fine, sunny and dry for Northern Ireland and the south west of England this morning. For the rest of the United Kingdom expect more cloud than sunshine along with occasional showers though more rain to come for the north of Scotland. Here this rain persists into the afternoon as well. More showers then for England and Wales, some heavy and continued dry for Northern Ireland. Any showers soon clear and for much of Britain it's a fine evening to come with some late sunshine. It remains dry and clear by night with some mist and fog patches developing by morning. Highs of 16 to 21C.
Friday
With an area of high pressure now building in across the United Kingdom, much of the country will be fine and dry today with lots of sunshine after any early fog patches clear from central and northern parts of England. More cloud may affect the north west of Scotland at times. Overnight some rain will affect the north west of Scotland but elsewhere expect a fine evening ahead of a dry, clear night with some mist by morning. Highs of 16 to 22C.
