More showers to come Fewer Showers Friday seiten=4 abk=focus

Thursday
Further spells of persistent rain will continue on and off across Scotland for much of the day with some heavy bursts over the hills and Southern Uplands. After a sunny, dry start, scattered showers develop across England and North Wales. Mainly dry across south west England and Northern Ireland. The showers ill break out more widely in most areas during the afternoon and these will be locally heavy with a risk of thunder with few showers down around Sussex and Kent. We're expecting top temperatures of 16 to 21C but just 12C for Scotland in the rain.

Thursday Night
More rain is expected across Scotland into the evening and night and this will be locally heavy as that front lingers in the north. Just a few showers scattered across north east England in the evening otherwise some fine sunshine to come. Overnight a few showers then are forecast across the south west of England with the rest of England and Wales dry and mostly clear. Lows of 10 to 15C.

Friday
Still some rain to come across Scotland though it will begin to turn patchy and light. Some good sunny spells for Northern Ireland, England and Wales but scattered, mainly light showers are likely across northern and eastern parts of England through the course of the day. Any showers are forecast to soon dissipate early this evening with some sunshine to end the day for many. This leads to a fine, dry and mostly clear night with some patchy fog developing by morning. Highs of 16 to 22C.

Saturday
With an area of high pressure across the United Kingdom, much of the country will be fine and dry this morning with sunny spells but cloud thickens up across Northern Ireland as rain spills in early in the afternoon. The rain also moves onto western coasts of Scotland, Wales and England and across the West Country. Gradually the rain spreads in across all but the far south east of England during the course of the evening and night. Highs of 16 to 22C.
