Sunday
Cloudy with some light rain across western Scotland with a few showers and some sunshine in the east. An area of heavy, thundery rain is expected to move into the south of England with showers in the north. The south west and north east of England should be essentially dry. In the afternoon as this rain spreads north east we could see some heavy thunderstorms giving localised torrential downpours from the Midlands into north east England and eastern Scotland. It drier and brightens up in the west and south as we go through the afternoon. A dry day to come for Northern Ireland. Expect highs of 16 to 22C north to south.

Sunday Night
It should be a fine evening for much of the United Kingdom with some early sunshine as the last of the heavy rain clears the north east of Scotland. Overnight rain spills in across Northern Ireland and reaches the western coasts of England and Scotland by morning with showers across Wales. Fine, dry and clear to the east. Not as warm or humid tonight with lows of 8 to 12C.

Monday
An area of rain will lie across Scotland, northern England into Wales and south west England in the morning. Fine and mostly sunny across East Anglia, The Midlands and south east England. In the afternoon he rain moves into The Midlands then into southern England in the evening where it lingers overnight and turns heavy again in the south west and across Wales. It also becomes very windy along the channel coast as gales set in overnight. Highs of 15 to 19C.

Tuesday
A very wet day in store for England and Wales with prolonged periods of locally heavy rain, especially across Wales and the west of England. The rain moves into Scotland and Northern Ireland in the afternoon. The rain sweeps away into the North Sea in the evening then most places look dry overnight with a few showers in the west. Highs of 14 to 17C.
