Heavy rain moving in Windy in the channel seiten=4 abk=focus

Monday
Much of the United Kingdom should start dry and bright with some sunshine but we will find outbreaks of rain moving in across Northern Ireland, northern England, southern Scotland and Wales with a few showers in southern England later this morning. Generally quite cloudy and damp for most areas into the afternoon with showers or longer spells of rain. The rain will be heaviest across south west England and northern Scotland. Very windy this afternoon in the south of England with highs of 15 to 20C north to south.

Monday Night
Continued windy in the far south of England this evening and tonight. An area of heavy rain will affect central and southern parts of England this evening and for much of the night as well. Drier further to the north with a few showers across western parts of Scotland and western England. A much cooler night with lows of 5 to 8C but still a warm 15C in the south east.

Monday
Still some heavy rain across the south east and East Anglia this morning and this should clear all but Kent by the afternoon. Elsewhere after a dry, mostly sunny start, some showers will develop in the morning in the west and will become more widespread during the afternoon with some heavy ones too. Further showers are likely in may areas during the night. Highs of 14 to 18C.

Tuesday
A day of sunshine and showers for much of Britain and these look heavier moving into the afternoon. While few if any showers will be found in the far south of England, more persistent rain will affect the north of Scotland. Apart from a few showers near the western coasts of Wales, England and Scotland, it's then dry into the evening and night for the bulk of the country. Highs of 14 to 18C.
