Friday
Another cold day ahead. There will be some cloud and fog arund early in the morning, most of this across southern and western England as well as eastern Wales. The valleys of Scotland also prone to some dense fog patches. Elsewhere it will be a dry morning with a few brighter spells coming through. The afternoon sees brighter weather slowly edgeing in from the north and the east. However, cloud could last all day through parts of the western Midlands and eastern Wales. The chance of a few snow flurries passing over the coasts of Suffolk, Norfolk and Kent too. High temperatures at 1 to 4C.

Friday Night
A bitterly cold night seems likely. Skies are probabkly going to be clearing and temperatures will be plummeting. Freezing fog is likeky to be forming by the morning, this rather patchy but perhaps becoming more extensive by the morning. Thicker cloud over northern Scotland perhaops with some spots of drizzle here. Generally thouguh it will be dry with temperatures down to -4 to -7C but as low as -10C over parts of northern England and Scotland.

Saturday
Widespread freezing fog across much of England and Wales this morning, and bitterly cold too. The fog should slowly be clearing away, but some places could have the fog lingering all day. Across northern England, Scotland and Ireland cloud is likely to be increasing, although it will be remaining generally dry, apart from some spots of drizzle moving into northwest Scotland later. Temperatures striggling to -1C in the fog, nearer 0 to 2C eslewhere and milder on western coasts.

Sunday
Sunday looks likely to be a cloudier day. The fog should be clearing away from the south in the morning and then for much of England and Wales it should be dry. Rain and sleet moving into Scotland and Ireland with some heavy snow over the hills and mountains. As the rain mvoes through England and Wales overnight it is likely to turn increasingly to sleet and snow. A cold day again at 1 or 2C over much of England, nearer 5C in western Scotland.
