Mist & fog pathes clearing Cold again seiten=4 abk=focus
Thursday
A cold and fairly grey start to the day for much of the country. There will be some mist and fog patches around through the southern half of England and Wales, these reluctant to clear some places until the afternoon. Where they do clear the sun will be coming through and it should be dry, but chilly, all day. For more northern parts of England there is a chance of some spots of drizzle over the western Pennines at first, but these should fade leaving the day dry. Further rain may affect northwest Scotland in the morning, this edging slowly southeast into the afternoon with snow over the Highland. However, most of central and southern Scotland as well as Ireland should have a fine day with good spells of sunshine. Highs at 3 or 4C for most inland areas, but up to 7 or 8C in western Scotland.
Thursday Night
Skies will be clear over much of the country tonight. Winds are going to be falling light and some freezing fog patches are going to be forming by the morning. There will be a widespread frost over much of the country, this most severe through central and southern parts of England where the temperature could dip to -7C. The rain in northern and western Scotland is expected to fade away with drier weather and clearer skies here allowing temperatures to fall to near 0C.
Friday
Mist and fog patches start the day through much of England, Wales and southern Scotland, some of these dense in places. They should slowly lift and then the day is likely to be a fine one for many of us. Good spells of sunshine, but it will be feeling very cold with temperatures struggling above freezing in some spots. Some cloud could trouble western and northern Scotland from time to time bringing a little drizzle, this also drifting past northern coasts of Northern Ireland. Highs nearer 3 to 5C through much of Scotland and Ireland.
Saturday
Another severe frost into Saturday morning through England and Wales with some morning freezing fog patches in the south. However, this is probably the last of the severe frosts for a while as winds will be increasing through the day. Cloud and rain will be spreading to western Scotland and Ireland in the afternoon. Elsewhere it will be dry, but the sun will be turning more hazy although it is likely to stay sunny throughout in the southeast. Feeling bitterly cold in the wind through England and Wales with highs of 1C for many, although up to 4C along southern and southern and eastern coasts with 8 or even 9C by the afternoon of western Scotland and Ireland.
