Sunday
A windy morning across many northern and western parts of the country, those winds reaching severe gale force at times on exposed western coasts. Periods of rain are going to be affecting all but the east of Scotland and much of Ireland, with drizzle and patchy rain moving onto western coasts of Wales and northwest England. Eastern parts of Scotland, eastern Wales and southeast England should stay dry and may even see a few glimpses of the sun, the best of these in the far southeast. The afternoon sees the weather staying windy over all parts of the country, further gales in the north and west. There will be rain here too this becoming more persistent over Wales and northwest England. Staying dry through many central and eastern parts of England. A much milder afternoon in the south at 7C, nearer 11C over parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Sunday Night
A wet and windy night to come over much of the north and west of the country. The rain spreading through the Midlands and northeast England by the morning, some of it heavy in western Wales, northwest and southwest England as well as Ireland. Winds should ease of southern Scotland and Northern Ireland as it turns drier here, but heavy showers and strong winds will return to the north of Scotland. The southeast quarter of the country stays dry. Lows at 6 to 8C.

Monday
Wet and windy through the morning over Wales and England. The rain could be heavy at times, especially in areas exposed to the southwest wind. Drier weather should edge into western Wales and northwest England by midday, this reaching the Midlands and southwest England in the afternoon. After a brighter start a further area of rain or showers could reach southwest Scotland, northern England and eastern Ireland through the afternoon. Scotland will have sunny spells and a few showers with gales i the far north. Highs at 7 to 10C.

Tuesday
Rain may still linger in the very far southeast of England through Tuesday morning. For most of the country though it will be a bright morning with sunny spells and it should be dry. There will be an odd shower here and there, the highest risk of which are through northwest England and southern Scotland with a few affecting the west coast of Scotland and western England too. A cooler day everywhere with highs of 4C in northern Scotland and 8C in southwest England.
