Monday
A wet and windy day to come through most of England and Wales. Heavy periods of rain affecting western Wales and northwest England this morning, but then these spreading their way southeastwards through the morning and into this afternoon. Winds will be gusting in excess of 60mph over exposed coasts and hills, with a wet end to the day over much of central and southern England. Gradually the winds will be easing through west and north Wales as well as northern England through this afternoon. There will be some sunny spells through Northern Ireland and southern Scotland, but stronger winds and showers will be affecting northern and western Scotland. Highs near 11C in southwest England, 9C in northern Scotland.

Monday Night
Heavy rain and strong winds through southeast England this evening, but this will be clearing away early in the night. Further showers will be drifting into western parts of Scotland and Ireland. Another area of showers is going to cross Wales, southwest and central England after midnight with all other areas tending to remain dry with some clear skies. Windy over northern Scotland with a risk of gales, but lighter winds elsewhere. Temperatures down to around 5 to 8C.

Tuesday
Some cloud and showers for East Anglia and southeast England at first, but these will be clearing away and then much brighter skies will be following from the west. Most of the country enjoying a cooler,l brighter morning with good spells of sunshine, and very little changes into the afternoon. There will be some showers over southern Ireland and west Wales as well as southwest England with a few more showers and some thicker cloud in western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Staying windy in northern Scotland too, but much lighter winds elsewhere. Temperatures at 5C in northern Scotland, 9C in southern England.

Wednesday
A frosty start to Wednesday morning over most of the country. There will be some good spells of sunshine around, although early morning fog patches are possible too. These will be clearing away and then much of England and eastern Scotland enjoys a dry day with the sunshine turning increasingly hazy. Over Wales, western England and western Scotland the cloud thickens bringing some rain by evening. For Ireland increasing winds push rain eastwards, this turning heavy at times through the day. Temperatures rising to highs of a chilly 4C in eastern England, 10C in western Ireland.
