Wednesday
An area of moderate to heavy rain across East Anglia and the south east clears all but Kent by the afternoon. It then becomes patchy and lingers across the south east for the afternoon. Apart from some light rain in the far north west of Scotland where it will also be windy, it's a dry day then for the rest of the United Kingdom. Rather cloudy at first but sunnier spells will develop through the day. Expect maximum temperatures of 5 to 9C north to south.
Wednesday Night
It becomes very windy across Northern Ireland and north west Scotland tonight. Still some patchy drizzly rain likely in the far southeast this evening and tonight with a fair amount of cloud in the far south. More cloud breaks likely across the rest of Britain with a risk of some patchy frost and fog patches developing in the night. Expect lows of 0 to 3C but 5C in the far south, 5 to 8C in the south.
Thursday
Quite a windy day in the north and west with a risk of gales for western Scotland for a time. Most places will be dry this morning with sunnier spells and some cloud. Rain will move into the far west of Northern Ireland this morning then into northern Scotland in the afternoon. Perhaps some patchy rain will affect Wales. The rest of Britain will stay dry with a mix of bright or sunny spells and cloud. The rain ligers across northern Scotland and Northern Ireland tonight as it drifts back west. Strong gales will affect western Britain. Expect highs of 5 to 9C.
Friday
So a very windy day, especially across western Britain with gales and gusts of 70-80 mph possible, perhaps even a gust to 90 mph near exposed western coasts of Scotland. Heavy rain will also affect western Scotland, Wales and western parts of England. Central and eastern pats of England will remain dry with lots of cloud and a few brighter spells. As colder air moves in, this may change over to snow across Scotland and northern parts of England. Expect highs of 4 to 8C.
