Tuesday
An area of moderate rain and drizzle is expected across Northern Ireland, Scotland, northern England and the north of Scotland this morning. Dry and brighter across central and southern England. Lots of mist will be found in the west and over the hills. Not much change to come this afternoon with an overcast, wet afternoon across the northern half of Britain. In the south it remains dry with a good deal of cloud but we should see more in the way of bright spells developing away from the west. Quite a breezy day but windy near western coasts Expect highs of 10 to 13C in the rain but 15 to 18C in the brighter south.
Tuesday Night
It remains quite windy into the evening and night. Cloudy too for most areas. From the South Midlands southward it should be mainly dry. Elsewhere expect outbreaks of rain and drizzle and staying foggy over the hills and around west facing coasts. The rain will be heavy in the north west and across Northern Ireland. A mild night underneath the cloud with lows of 8 to 11C.
Wednesday
For central, southern England and Wales it starts rather dull but it will be mainly dry and we should see some bright spells developing as we go through the day, perhaps with some sunshine as well. For Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England it stays cloudy and damp with spells of rain and drizzle. This evening the rain in the north west becomes heavier as it spills into western areas by morning. Maximums of 12 to 19C.
Thursday
Increasingly windy today with gales setting in across western and northern parts of the United Kingdom. An area of rain will become light and patchy across northern England, Wales and south west England. As this drifts into southern England in the afternoon it fizzles out to an area of cloud. Lots of showers, some heavy will affect north west Scotland and Northern Ireland. Fair and dry elsewhere. In the evening heavy rain spreads into Scotland and Northern Ireland this sweeps into all but the eastern most parts of England by the end of the night. Look for highs of 12 to 19C.
