Friday
Quite windy day, especially in the west this morning with gusts to 55 mph around the coasts. These will brings in quite a lot of showers to northern Scotland and to western coasts of Wales and England. Central and eastern areas will be fine, dry and mostly sunny. In the afternoon not as windy but the shower sin the west will develop more across central parts of Wales, England and Scotland though they will remain heaviest in the west. It remains dry and mostly sunny across eastern parts of England. Expect highs of 11 to 16C.
Friday Night
Still a few sharp showers to come this evening across western parts of Scotland, north west England and north west Wales. Elsewhere it's a fine evening with sunny spells to tend the day. Little overall change then overnight with scattered showers around western coasts. The bulk of the country will be dry with long clear spells and some patchy mist by morning. A chilly night with lows of 2 to 5C.
Saturday
With low pressure in control it's a day of sunshine, cloud and showers. Most of the showers today will be across Scotland, northern England and Wales with just a few for the Midlands. Best of the sunshine will be in the south and east. During the evening and night an area of rain is expected to move into the Irish Sea skirting Wales, Northern Ireland and moving into north west England and south west Scotland. Dry for the rest of Britain with mostly clear skies. Maximums of 11 to 15C.
Sunday
Through the day an area of moderate to locally heavy rain will affect Wales, northern England and the far south of Scotland. To the north and south of this area it should be mainly dry and bright with sunnier spells. More rain to come in the north and west this evening but much of this should turn light and patchy overnight. Much of the United Kingdom will be dry overnight with patchy low cloud and mist. Look for highs of 10 to 16C.
