Into this afternoon there will be little change with some outbreaks of rain across Northern ireland, northern and central areas of the country. Wales and southwest England will have heavy showers in the afternoon, these affecting southern parts of Ireland as well. Staying fine for most of northern and eastern Scotland with lots of sunshine here. Remaining windy in the north too with highs at 16C in northern Scotland, but turning much warmer in any brighter spells in southern England with toops at 21C here.
Thursday Night
Cloud and periods of rain over England, Wales and Ireland through this evening. Although these are going to be mainly light and patchy at first, they will start to become heavier and more persistent through the early hours of the morning in places. The focus for these heavier periods of rain will be southern England and southern Wales, some of the rain thundery here as well. The far north of England and Scotland will be drier, perhaps with a few spots of rain on the hills. Clear skies and startying dry in the far north of Scotland. A windy night over much of the country. Becmoing increasingly murky in the south. Lows at 6 to 10C.
Friday
Indications of a wet and murky day over central and southern parts of the country. Rain will be heavy here at times and there will be lots of mist and fog shrouding the hills. A windy day as well with strong east to northeast winds for many. Northern parts of England and Northern Ireland as well as Scotland will be drier, although a few spots of rain cannot be ruled out on eastern facing hills. Highs at a chilly 11C in the south in the rain, perhaps to 16C in western parts of Scotland.
Saturday
A heavier and more persistent area of rain passing through northern England and the east of Scotland today with strong winds over Scotland too. Elsewhere there will be lots of cloud around. It will be a damp start with some patchy rain here and then and lots of murk for much of England, Wales and Ireland. Brighter spells may break through in the afternoon. These could trigger a few showers and these may be heavy and thundery at times. Highs at 17C in any brightness in the south, 10C in eastern Scotland.
