Warm sunshine Thundery rain Monday seiten=4 abk=focus

Sunday
A fine morning across the United Kingdom with lots of sunshine and some patchy ground fog across low lying areas of central and southern England. In the afternoon most places will be staying dry with long sunny spells producing a high sunburn index. But some cloud and light rain is to creep into western parts of Scotland. Later in the afternoon some cloud may also push into Kent. Look for highs of 14 to 23C.

Sunday Night
Still a few bits of light rain to come for north west Scotland in the evening but for much of Britain it's a fine end to the day with some late evening sunshine. Overnight the rain in the north west peps up and there is a risk of scattered thunderstorms across Sussex and Kent. Otherwise a dry night under clear skies. Some mist patches will again develop inland with lows of 5 to 10C.

Monday
We are expecting a pulse of heavy, thundery rain to move into southern England then track north through the Midlands and eastern Wales though the exact areas to be affected are not certain at this time. There is the risk of torrential downpours across England and Wales, perhaps dry in the far west. Another area of rain will affect Northern Ireland and Scotland. This heavy rain then pushes north in the evening and night affecting mainly eastern parts of Scotland and north east England but again confidence in the exact detail is low. Becoming humid in the south with maximums of 16 to 24C.

Tuesday
Residual rain across eastern parts of England will be clearing into the North Sea Quite a few showers then to come for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Much of England and Wales will then be fine and dry with sunny spells. After a fine evening, more rain spreads in across Northern Ireland and Scotland overnight. Look for highs of 12 to 18C.
