Thundery rain moving north Warm and humid seiten=4 abk=focus

Monday
After a mainly dry start to the morning across England and Wales, scattered showers will move in across south west England and southern Wales While an area of more persistent rain pushes across Scotland and Northern Ireland. In the afternoon we are expecting a pulse of heavier, thundery rain to move into southern England then track north through the Midlands and Wales then into northern England. There is the risk of torrential downpours across England and Wales, perhaps dry in the far east around the Home Counties, and the south east with a lesser chance of heavy showers but this is by no means a certainty. Totals up to 30mm are possible in those thundery showers. Still warm and more humid today with highs of 15 to 25C.

Monday Night
This evening the heaviest of the thundery rain should now be across the north east of England with rain clearing Wales and the north Midlands. A narrowing belt of rain also clears northern Ireland and lies across southern Scotland this evening. We should see the last of the rain clearing most places tonight but perhaps we are left with a lot of low cloud and mistiness with still a bit of rain near some eastern coasts. A warm night with lows of 8 to 11C.

Tuesday
Residual rain across eastern parts of England will be clearing into the North Sea Quite a few showers then to come for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Much of England and Wales will then be fine and dry with sunny spells. After a fine evening, more rain spreads in across Northern Ireland and Scotland overnight. Rain then spreads into western Britain in the evening then into all but the far south east of England overnight. A much fresher day with highs of 12 to 17C.

Wednesday
So a wet, overcast and breezy morning to come for much of Britain with spells of mainly light to moderate rain. This clears Scotland, Northern Ireland and western parts of England later this morning then the rain clears all parts through the afternoon as it turns dry and sunnier from the west. Fine through the evening with late sunshine for most ahead of a dry, clear night. Look for highs of 13 to 17C.
