Monday
A band of showery rain cross Ireland, northern England, the Midlands and central southern England this morning, although this tending to fade as it head east. Some brighter spells following from the west through Wales and western England, but also a few showers. Sunny spells and mainly dry in the morning for Scotland and eastern England, but the cloud increasing here with some showery outbreaks of rain arriving. The afternoon sees heavy showers becoming widespread over most of England and Wales with a risk of thunderstorms in places. The emphasis for them is probably through Wales, although it will be turning somewhat drier in western areas by late afternoon. Monday Night
Showers fading through eastern parts of the country tonight, but a band of more persistent rain will push south through Northern Ireland. This then reaches Wales and the Midlands as well as East Anglia through the early hours, most light but an odd moderate burst as well. For the majority of other places the night becomes generally dry, apart from some showers in the coasts. A windy night too in the south. Lows at 8 to 12C.

Tuesday

Following behind will be a much cooler north to northwest air mass with showers. The showers could be heavy at times, especially on the coasts, although where you are sheltered from the wind it could be a dry and bright afternoon. Highs near 14C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England.

Wednesday
