Wednesday Night
The northwesterly flow remains across the country. This is going to be bringing plenty of cloud across many northern and eastern areas, and it is here where there could be a few showers throughout the night. To the west it is going to be mainly dry, although some showers could affect northern coasts of Ireland and the north of Wales. Lows at a cool 7 to 10C.
Thursday
Little change for Thursday with the cold northwest flow being maintained. It may become very windy in eastern Scotland and very cold too; the winds to gale force on coasts here. Showers continue over the east of Scotland and eastern England. To the west there will be plenty of cloud and it should be mainly dry. Places sheltered from the wind such as Dumfries & Galloway, south Wales and southern coasts of England. Highs at 14 to 18C.
Friday
Despite some cloud and outbreaks of rain affecting the northeast coasts of England and East Anglia, most of the day is expected to be dry. There will be some good spells of sunshine coming through, the best of these in the west with Wales, southwest England and western Scotland seeing the best of this. The northwest breeze is going to be easing off and turning more into a warmer west to southwesterly. In the afternoon cloud is going to be increasing over Ireland and this will bring rain in the southwest later. Highs at 16C in northern Scotland, 23C in sunshine over southern England.
