Sunday
An area of heavy rain is expected to linger across Northern Ireland and northern Scotland for much of the day. Apart from a few sharp showers across Wales and north west England along with south west Scotland, it's a basically dry day too come with a fair amount of sunshine once any early cloud clears the far east of England. Warmer today in the south with overall highs of 16 to 23C Still quite breezy out to the west.

Sunday Night
Any rain soon clears this evening from Northern Ireland but steady rain is expected to continue across the northern part of Scotland into the night. A few showers will also persist in and around the western coasts of Wales and north west England. The rest of Britain will be dry with some late evening sunshine ahead of a mostly clear night. Lows of 9 to 14C.

Monday
After a dry, sunny start across eastern England and eastern Scotland, showers already in the west will develop more widely this morning and linger into the afternoon. These will turn heavy but mainly dry across parts of East Anglia and the south east. Showers and longer spells of rain will affect much of Britain through the evening and night, some of it heavy. Highs of 16 to 20C.

Tuesday
For East Anglia and south east England it should remain fair and dry with the best of the sunshine. The rest of the United Kingdom will be staying rather cloudy and damp with quite a few showers, these heavier and more prolonged in the north west of England and Scotland. Through the evening and night most of the showers then become confined to western coasts. Highs at 15 or 21C.
