Tuesday
A fine morning for much of the country with some good spells of sunshine. There will be some showers affecting western coasts, and it will not be long before cloud bubbles up inland. The showers then develop and become heavy at times with the focus for them through Wales and southern and southeastern parts of England as well as the Midlands. A risk of some thunderstorms and it is possible for the showers to merge into longer spells of rain in the southwest and Wales. Further showers forming over Scotland. The afternoon sees heavy showers over Wales and southwest England as well as the Midlands, with a further area of heavy showers for northwest England and Scotland. Frequent heavy showers over Ireland too and turning windy in Ireland and southwest England too. Highs at 16C in northern Scotland, 24C in the sunshine over southeast England.

Tuesday Night
Low pressure is in the southern Irish Sea tonight. There will be showers over Wales and southwest England as well as northwest England, and the risk of these being heavy at times. Inland it should be dry with clear spells, although the risk of a shower exists over the Midlands and southern England. Further showers for Ireland, but these turning more scattered whilst the north of Scotland has cloud and some showery rain here. Lows at 12 to 14C in southern England, but chilly through central Scotland at 5C.

Wednesday
A warm start to the day with sunny spells through many parts of the country. There will be some showers forming quite quickly in the morning, although these should be more scattered than the past couple of days. Windward facing coasts should be drier with sunny spells. Little change in the afternoon with a scattering of showers over the Midlands, northwest England and western Scotland. Heavier showers forming over central and northern parts of Ireland, with further heavy showers in northeast England and Scotland. Highs near 25C in southern England, 16C in northern Scotland.

Thursday
Low pressure remains close by through Thursday, but the emphasis is going to be on a a warmer day, with scattered showers. There will be sunny spells for many places and it is going to be feeling very warm. Heavy showers are likely to be developing and there is a risk of some thunderstorms too, although any showers and thunderstorms are expected to be well isolated. Highs at 17 to 26C.
