Sunshine & showers Becoming warmer seiten=4 abk=focus
Wednesday
Low pressure is in control of the weather again through today, but being centred over Scotland it will be here that we see the worst of the weather. heavy showers developing through the morning across Scotland, these turning thundery and perhaps merging into longer spells of rain through the afternoon. Further south there will be some cloud in the morning over England, Wales and Ireland, but this will tend to break with sunny spells coming through, although it is going to be windy along southern coasts and through the southeast. A few showers forming as the morning wears on and these lasting into the afternoon although always being well scattered with sunny spells in between. Western coasts of Wales and England fair best in the sunshine stakes with only a few showers here. Highs near 24C in the Midlands, 18C in northern Scotland.
Wednesday Night
The showers will be tending to fade away quite quickly during the first part of tonight, although always a few residual ones left around over the highlands of Scotland. Elsewhere the skies will become clearer and it may turn quite cold over parts of southern Scotland and northwest England. later on in the night cloud will tend to increase across the west and south, the winds remaining light throughout. Lows near 5 to 10C.
Thursday
A muggy start to the day over much of central and southern England. An area of cloud and showers is expected to encroach from the southwest, through Wales and into parts of the western Midlands and northwest England through the morning. A further band of showers forming across western Scotland and central Ireland, some of them heavy. There are then indications of an area of more persistent rain, some of it heavy tracking through southwest England, Wales and the Midlands, with thundery showers over northern England and central Scotland. Heavy showers too for Ireland. Staying dry and very warm in the southeast of England, and dry but fresher for western Scotland. Highs at 25C in southeast England, nearer 16C in western Scotland.
Friday
The threat of a heavy area of rain tracking northwards through the whole of the country overnight. This then persists through much of southern and eastern Scotland as well as much of northern England into Friday and may bring some local flooding here. A wet start in the Midlands and southern England too and there is the chance that it will stay damp through the rest of the day. Becoming windy as well with strong northwest winds making it feel cold and perhaps reaching gale force along eastern coasts. Drier for southwest England, west Wales, western Scotland and Ireland, although breezy here too. Highs at just 154C in the rain over northern England, 19C in southern England later.
