Some drier weather through the Midlands and the eastern parts of England at first, but this not lasting as showers develop. The afternoon sees heavy rain through Scotland, northwest England, Wales and parts of southern England. Showers or patchier rain in the Midlands and East Anglia with some brighter and drier weather into Ireland and Cornwall. A very windy afternoon with severe gales in places and highs of 14C in the rain, 17C where the sun comes out.

A few showers for southern parts of Wales and England where it will also be windy. Brighter weather eventually reaching northern Scotland and this pushing into central Scotland at last allowing things to dry out somewhat.
