Monday
Just a few scattered showers this morning across Wales and England with some rain across northern Scotland. Fair and dry elsewhere with some sunshine. In the afternoon much of England and Wales looks essentially dry with sunny spells and just a few showers mainly across northern England. Perhaps late in the afternoon some light rain edges into south west England. For Scotland and Northern Ireland expect more in the way of showers but most will be light. Highs of 15 to 20C.
Monday Night
During the evening rain still some light rain to come across south west England with a few showers for Scotland. Fair and dry elsewhere with some elate sunshine to end the day. Overnight the light rain in the south west will move into the far south of England and South Wales. The rest of Britain looks essentially dry with increasing cloud. Lows at 10 to 14C.
Tuesday
Today the winds will become quite strong around the Irish Sea coasts, touching gale force. The far north east of England and much of Scotland of Scotland will be dry this morning before the rain sets in during the afternoon. Outbreaks of rain in the west will spread in across the rest of the United Kingdom this morning and will be heavy in many areas in the afternoon. In the evening the heavy rain will now be across Scotland and will affect the north of Scotland overnight. To the south it becomes drier but stays cloudy with some drizzle across Wales and northern England. Expect highs of 16 to 24C.
Wednesday
Any rain in the far north of Scotland soon clears then for much of the United Kingdom expect a fair amount of cloud, some sunshine and showers. Not too many showers though for eastern parts of England and Scotland while some in the west will be locally heavy. Quite a brisk west wind will prevail today. Through the evening and the night some heavy showers will persist in and around the western coasts of Britain while the remainder of the country stays dry with well broken cloud. Expect highs of 15 to 23C.
