Tuesday
Much of Scotland should manage to stay dry with the best of the sunshine until rain arrives in the south by the end of the afternoon. Outbreaks of heavy rain across south west England and south Wales will spread into all of Wales and the West Midlands later in the morning. To the east just a few showers. In the afternoon the rain spreads in across much of England will be patchy and light in the south east. The winds will also become gusty around Irish Sea coasts. Later some rain reaches Northern Ireland but clears south west England and western Wales followed by a few sharp showers. Highs of 16 to 23C.
Tuesday Night
During the evening the heaviest rain will be across parts of Northern Ireland, southern Scotland and north east England with lighter rain across eastern England. Some sunshine for Wales and the West Country along with a few coastal showers. Overnight the heavy rain is now confined to northern Scotland with quite a few heavy showers across southern Scotland and around some western coasts which may develop into longer spells of rain. The remainder of Britain will be dry with some clear spells and less windy tonight. Lows at 10 to 14C.
Wednesday
Any rain in the far north of Scotland soon clears then for much of the United Kingdom expect a fair amount of cloud, some sunshine and showers. Not too many showers though for eastern parts of England and Scotland while some in the west will be locally heavy. Quite a brisk west wind will prevail today. Through the evening and the night some heavy showers will persist in and around the western coasts of Britain while the remainder of the country stays dry with well broken cloud. Expect highs of 15 to 22C.
Thursday
We are expecting an area of moderate to heavy rain to spread into south east England this morning then into East Anglia in the afternoon but we're not entirely certain on this yet. For the rest of the United Kingdom a lot of showers are likely to develop and many will be on the heavy side with a risk of thunder. Some sunshine as well in between showers but not too much. That rain in the south east quickly scoots away later this afternoon then for the evening and night just some showers to linger around western coasts with the rest of Britain fine and dry. Expect highs of 16 to 21C.
