Thursday
Central and eastern parts of England and Scotland start fine and quite sunny and while cloud develops the showers won't yet. And across East Anglia it should stay dry while we may see an area of more persistent rain push into the south east. The rest of Britain has a day of frequent and heavy showers and scattered thunderstorms. Some brief sunshine will be found in between the showers but generally not too much. Highs of 16 to 21C.
Thursday Night
During the evening and night most of the shower activity is expected to become confined to western parts of England and Wales while an area of more persistent rain drops south into northern Scotland overnight. Most central and eastern areas will become dry. Lows at 10 to 14C.
Friday
With low pressure in control, it's another unsettled, showery day to come across Britain. Any rain in the far north of Scotland soon clears then for much of the United Kingdom expect a fair amount of cloud, some sunshine and showers. Not as many showers though for East Anglia, south east England and eastern and Scotland while a number of the showers in the north and west will be locally heavy. Late in the afternoon it become dry and sunny in the far south east. Quite a brisk west wind will prevail today from the south west around western coasts. Expect highs of 15 to 22C.
Saturday
A much better day today as high pressure builds in across the country. There will be a scattering of light showers across Scotland and Northern Ireland through the day. For England and Wales a fine, dry day with good spells of sunshine though more cloud will develop in the afternoon. In the evening and night outbreaks of rain are expected to spread in across Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Expect highs of 16 to 21C.
