Very windy this morning with gales around western coasts of England and Wales. These will moderate during the afternoon. Outbreaks of heavy rain are expected across south west England and Wales in the morning and this becomes quite intense in the afternoon as it spreads into northern England and southern Scotland later. There is a risk of local flooding with this rain across Wales. Across Wales the south west England it brightens up late in the afternoon wit a few heavy showers following. Just some showers to come across northern Scotland and the rest of England with some splashes of rain into central and eastern England later in the afternoon. Highs of 16 to 20C.
Wednesday Night
South west England, Northern Ireland and Wales will have some evening sunshine and some showers. The rest of England and Scotland looks very wet and windy with outbreaks of heavy rain, this heaviest across northern England and eastern Scotland. Overnight the heavy rain is expected to be across eastern Scotland with patchy rain and showers for northern England and Wales. Lows at 11 to 15C.
Thursday
A day of sunshine and showers as the rain across eastern Scotland clears. These will be heavy in the north west with few showers across East Anglia, south east England and the West Country. Here expect lots of sunshine. A fine evening to come across the United Kingdom with all areas dry and quite sunny. Overnight it clouds over in the far west and across Northern Ireland. Dry everywhere with clear skies in central and eastern areas. Expect highs of 16 to 20C.
Friday
A cloudy, breezy day across Northern Ireland and much of western Britain with outbreaks of rain. Central and eastern parts of England and Scotland should be dry with some bright or sunny spells. The rain turns heavier as it spreads eastward in most places during the evening and lingers overnight. Expect highs of 17 to 22C.
