Bright and breezy Showers clearing away seiten=4 abk=focus

Thursday
A blustery morning to come over much of the country, with the strongest of the winds affecting western coasts of the country. It is also here where we will be seeing some showers, and these are likely to be blown through western Scotland, northwest England, Wales and southwest England. More central and eastern areas should be drier and brighter with sunny spells coming through. The afternoon sees a scattering of showers here and there, mainly over the Midlands, northern Scotland and central Scotland. These fading away through and the sun coming out, with the best of the sunshine through more western areas. Highs at 16 to 20C.

Thursday Night
Breezy through this evening, but those winds tending to ease as the nigh progresses, before picking up to nearer gale force over Ireland by the morning. Generally a dry evening with some clear skies here and there. There will be increasing cloud through more western areas later in the night as outbreaks of rain spread into Ireland. Low temperatures at 7 to 12C.

Friday
A bright start to the morning through many central and eastern areas with sunny spells and feeling fair warm in that sunshine too, especially over East Anglia and the southeast. Thicker cloud for western areas and this is going to be bringing outbreaks of rain at times, some of it heavy for western Ireland and western Scotland. The rain spills into western Scotland and thorough much of Ireland too. Dry for much of England, although cloud is going to be increasing from the west. Highs at 16 to 22C.

Saturday
A band of more persistent and heavier band of rain will be spreading eastwards through the country, bringing some heavy periods of slow moving rain across much of eastern Scotland, northern England, the Midlands and central southern England. This area of rain moves into eastern England in the afternoon, with a wet end to the day possible over southeast England and the eastern Midlands. Western Scotland, western Wales, southwest Wales and Ireland will become drier with sunny spells, the best of the sunshine over central and western Ireland. Highs at 17C in northern Scotland, 22C in southeast England. Windy through Scotland too.
