Windy heavy rain in NE Drier in west seiten=4 abk=focus
Thursday
Very windy and blustery this morning with very strong winds in the south east at first with gusts to 50 mph. Heavy rain across northern England will become confined to eastern parts of England and Scotland so a miserable morning here. During the afternoon this should pull away into the North Sea but may linger across Aberdeenshire. For western and central areas along with Northern Ireland a windy, chilly day but a drier one with a few scattered showers, sunnier spells and occasional cloud. Most of the showers fade late in the afternoon. Expect highs of 14 to 18C.
Thursday Night
Not as windy this evening. Still some rain to come across north east Scotland for the evening and night and this may even turn a bit heavier. An area of rain is to spread into South Wales and south west England this evening then quickly moves through the south east of England, clearing before morning. Just a few showers near western coasts otherwise a mainly dry evening and night come elsewhere. Expect lows of 9 to 14C.
Friday
. A windy, chilly, blustery day to come with outbreaks of moderate to heavy rain across Scotland sweeping down into Wales and northern England. A dry morning but cloudy across East Anglia, much of the Midlands and the south of England. In the afternoon the rain clears Scotland and pushes into The Midlands and East Anglia. As the rain tracks towards the south east this evening it fizzles out and becomes light. Highs around 12 to 16C for most places.
Saturday
Less windy today. Some light rain across western Scotland, Cumbria and Northern Ireland should die away this morning as it brightens up. With high pressure over the country the remainder of the United Kingdom looks mainly dry with variable amounts of cloud and sunnier spells. A dry evening everywhere then rain comes into Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Highs around 14 to 18C.
