Sunny spells and dry Cloud in the far south seiten=4 abk=focus
Wednesday
A cloudy start to the day across southern counties of England, and there is a risk of a few spots of rain early on as well. The rain should fade away early on and then it should become dry, although still with plenty of cloud and some bright or sunny spells coming through later. At the other end of the country there will be cloud across northern and western Scotland bringing a few spots of rain here. This continues into the afternoon over the hills, although most other areas should be dry. For the rest of the country the morning is going to be starting bright and dry. There will be some good spells of sunshine throughout the day, the best of these to the west. Highs at 22C over central England, 16C in northern Scotland.
Wednesday Night
Some spots of rain again tonight over the northwest of Scotland. To the south the cloud breaks further along southern coasts of England. For most of the rest of the country it is going to be a dry night with clear skies, and a risk of some mist and fog patches developing. There could be a touch of ground frost over northwest England, lows in Cumbria possibly to 3 or 4C., Nearer 10C along southern coasts of England and in northwest Scotland, nearer 6 to 8C for the rest of the country.
Thursday
High pressure dominates the weather again through today. This is going to be bringing lots of dry weather across the country, with the best of the sunshine through more western parts of the country. It is going to be breezy to the south of England, and these may be strong along southern coasts. Always more in the way of cloud along those southern coasts. Some thicker cloud too for Scotland, but apart from an odd shower over the Highlands, it should be dry. Tops at 21C in southern England and western Wales, 17C in northern Scotland.
Friday
A cloudier day for Friday, although high pressure is still in control. It is going to be bringing lots of dry weather through all parts of the country. Most of the cloud is likely to be across the northern half of the country, whilst to the south there is more of a chance of the strong east to northeast wind breaking up the cloud and allowing the sun to come through. Highs at 21C in southern England and 16C in northern Scotland.
