Fine and sunny A chilly start seiten=4 abk=focus

Thursday
A chilly start to the day across much of central and northern England and Wales, a few mist patches here and there but these clearing quickly. More of a breeze through southern England, but it is going to be a fine day for the hole of England and Wales. Plenty of sunshine around and feeling pleasantly warm out of the wind too with temperatures at 22C. More in the way of cloud over northern Ireland and parts of central and western Scotland. Here there is the chance of some drizzle on the western slopes of the Highlands too, but this fading by late morning. Highs near 18C here.

Thursday Night
Overnight cloud will be increasing across northern England, but it should stay dry here as indeed it will be across the whole of Scotland and Ireland. Central and southern England, southern Ireland and Wales are going to be dry with some clear skies, although mist and fog patches forming in more sheltered areas by the morning. Cloud may increase by then too. Lows will be near 5C in the more sheltered areas of England and Wales, nearer 9 or 10C for most of the country.

Friday
Although high pressure is still in control of the weather and will be bringing dry conditions to all parts, Friday is going to be a cloudier day for all of us. A brisk east to northeast wind along southern countries of England, but otherwise the winds will be light. There will be some breaks in the cloud with sunny spells coming through, the best of these reserved for the west of Wales and northwest England. Highs near 17 to 21C.

Saturday
Hints for Saturday are that high pressure remains over the top of the country. For most the day is going to be dry, and although having some cloud around at first there will be a tendency for this to be breaking and for the sun to come through. The best of the sunshine in central and northern areas. Thicker cloud may bring some drizzle to northern coasts of Scotland. Highs will be near 17 to 22C.
