Thursday
A bright and cool start to the morning for most of the country. There will be good spells of sunshine for many areas, although bits of cloud will be being blown southwards on the northwest wind. Thicker cloud affecting southern coasts at first, butt his breaking through the morning. Little change for this afternoon. It will be staying cool with dry conditions and sunny spells. Probably cloudier skies over Ireland, and in the north of Scotland there could be some outbreaks of rain. Highs near 9C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England.

Thursday Night
Increasing cloud across Scotland this evening, and this is going to be bringing stronger winds and outbreaks of rain through western parts of Scotland. As the night progresses the rain becomes more persistent, although reamins mainly light and spreads through the rest of Scotland. During the early hours the drizzle and low cloud reaches Northern Ireland and northwest England. For the rest of England and Wales there will be dry conditions with clearer skies and a chilly night with lows of 5 or 6C.

Friday
A windy morning across the northern half of the country with some wetter weather affecting much of Scotland, northwest England and Northern Ireland. This rain spills into northeast England through the morning. For southern parts of England and Wales it will be dry with brighter skies and some sunny spells, although bits of drizzle for north Wales. This afternoon sees further outbreaks of rain over northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, most of Scotland where it could be heavy at times. The far south of England and Wales remain dry with some sunny spells here. Highs at 11C in northern Scotland and 17C in southern England.

Saturday
A cold and windy day as a band of cloud and rain sweeps eastwards through England and Wales. Following will be a mix of sunny spells and showers. The showers could be heavy at times, with a risk of thunderstorms across Scotland and Ireland. Tne showers may also merge to longer spells of rain at times. Highs at a cold 8C in northern Scotland, 14C in southern England.
